The virus is new but restricting groups is not. This photo is after a Christmas Day Wedding – during the Spanish Flu epidemic. Wallace & Soph Davidson were married with just 2 witnesses (his sister & husband) in attendance. (What’s amazing here too is that on Christmas day they are holding pussy willows! Hard to guess what the weather was like to produce those)
We need to take this epidemic seriously before folks die in the hundreds & thousands like happened back then.
What can stop a virus? Probably only time and distance.
BUT here’s the deal – unscientific but HIGHLY recommended by me from personal experience. ——
When my granddaughters were coming to my house every day after grade school (25 years ago) & I was taking seriously immune suppressing medications for my MS. I was catching everything their sniffling little noses brought home – until I discovered Coldeeze. Zinc is proven to cut a cold in half by lining nasal passages so you don’t reinfect yourself with the cold virus. No one ever said to take it before you caught the cold but it just made sense to me.
So I started sucking a lozenge each day before meeting the school bus — I was totally healthy from then on. I still use one before a wedding or funeral or such. Zinc really seems to work to stave off viruses. Don’t know if it works for C-19 – but what’s to lose? If you decide to go to the grocery store or anywhere where you will meet others and be potentially exposed – take a lozenge. (You take a new lozenge about every 4 hours if the exposure is longer. )
