You may not all see Facebook from Jim so I am posting this big Flashback
Battle Ground High School celebrated 100 years of football competition. Graduates were recognized during the game’s half time. Mel Malinowski(1967), Jim Malinowski (1956), Dick Malin (1952) and Rick Malinowski (1959) participated in the ceremony. Jim – “Dick was a tough act for the rest of us to follow. He was Captain of the football team, Student Body President, Straight A student and a West Point graduate.” Dick and Jim had dinner before the game and he told a great story about Ted Zeller a teacher and former principal. Ted gave Dick extra help to prepare him for the level of math classes he would face at West Point. Dick said he would not have survived those classes with out that help. Jim- “We had great teachers at Battle Ground High and we all owe them a great debt.”
