Malinowski Clan

Dedicated to the evolution of the Antoni Malinowski family

Mary Elizabeth Achey

Did you know that Mary Elizabeth Achey was Beth Malinowski’s grandmother. Her paintings are in the Washington State Historical Museum, Smithsonian, President Andrew Johnson Memorial Library, her sketches at the University of Washington as well as some spots in Oregon & Colorado I believe. She was prolific! So many of her descendants also have some of her work. Rich Hovde was generous enough to donate his painting to the Aberdeen Museum and it was lost in the fire.

It’s uncertain but this may be her daughter who was lost to disease at this young age.

Here are some other examples of her talent

This is the Eager homestead on the upper Wishkah – Called the Jungle Shack
This is the landscape in the Presidential Library
Early Montesano – held at Tacoma Washington History Museum
